About
Church Street School Child Care Centre uses an emergent curriculum with play-based learning: educators observe children daily and plan activities that support cognitive, language, literacy, emotional, social, creative, and physical development. It serves children 18 months to 12 years old. Notable features include its long-standing status as a licensed, non-profit centre established in 1974, its location inside Church Street Junior Public School, and its use of outside specialists for drama, dance, art, music, and sports. The City of Toronto listing also notes before- and after-school care, full-day care on PA days and school holidays, and participation in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care system.
