About
Great Beginnings Montessori School uses a Montessori curriculum with mixed-age, child-led learning in a prepared environment, emphasizing independence, self-directed activity, and learning through the senses. The school serves Toddlers (21–36 months) and Primary Preschool/Kindergarten (3–6 years), with licensed classes that also include an E.C.E. Emergent programme for some groups. Notable features include French, Music, Physical Education, and Library taught by specialist teachers, small class sizes, and regular parent communication such as daily journals, report cards, and parent interviews in some classes. The school also describes its Montessori rooms as mixed-age and “freedom within limits” environments where children choose activities at their own pace.
