About
Jane Norman College - Park View Centre is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, with an emergent curriculum guided by children’s interests, inquiry, and co-construction of learning. It serves children from birth to school age and operates as a licensed child care facility under Nova Scotia’s Early Learning and Child Care Act and Regulations. Notable features include a holistic mission focused on safety, belonging, self-regulation, problem-solving, and family communication, as well as a connection to the college’s student training through observation and interaction in the centre. The programme also emphasises small-group exploration and a strong community connection as part of children’s learning experiences.
