About
Smart Start Learning Centre uses an emergent, play-based curriculum guided by the ELECT framework, with collaborative learning, routines that build self-regulation, and activities such as yoga, mindfulness, circle and story time, cooking and supervised nature exploration. Its handbook lists a nursery and junior room for ages 2½ to 4, a senior/kindergarten room for ages 4 to 6, and before- and after-school care for ages 6 to 12. Weekly program plans are posted in each room, and parents are encouraged to go over them with teachers.
