About
Step Above Childcare Centre uses an Emergent Curriculum, meaning staff respond to children’s interests to create meaningful independent learning experiences. They say they serve full-time care for children at their Halifax centre and provide lunch plus two snacks daily, with activities including dramatic play, language and art, outdoor play, nature and science, rest and quiet time, and constructive play. The centre’s website does not specify exact age ranges in the information available here, so I can only verify that it is a childcare facility offering full-time care for children. Notable features include an in-house cook, daily outdoor play when weather permits, and a focus on supporting physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and creative development.
