Licensed Before & After School Care in Gloucester, ON

Before & After School Care in Gloucester

Gloucester stopped being its own city in 2001, when it was folded into Ottawa, but the name still carries in addresses, school catchments and childcare listings, and six of the seven licensed programs here operate in French. That last fact is the sharpest thing our data says about this part of the east end. Three of the seven carry enough Google reviews to be readable. The other four carry none at all, which leaves a lot of this list to the telephone.

What to know about childcare in Gloucester

Centre Éducatif Les Petits Trésors at the Blackburn site on Innes Road holds the largest review base with nine reviews at 4.6, Children's Village at Findlay Creek on Kelly Farm Drive shows 4.3 on three, and Centre Éducatif La Clémentine on D'Aoust Avenue shows 3.7, also on three. Those three average 4.20 against 4.46 for rated Ontario listings. Fifteen reviews between them. The difference sits well inside the noise.

The other four are La Coccinelle at École La Vérendrye and at École Séraphin-Marion, Petits Pas à Trois, also at La Vérendrye, and Garderie Heritage Child Care Centre on St. Joseph Boulevard.

Two programmes share the Eastvale Promenade school address. That's ordinary in Ottawa, where before-and-after care and full-day care are frequently run by different operators inside the same building on different parts of the day, which means the sign on the door may not be the organisation you end up signing with.

Fee subsidy and CWELCC administration run through the City of Ottawa. Four of the seven have a website. Four have a phone number. About half this list needs a call before you know anything useful, and age bands are blank on all seven, which reflects the Ontario feed rather than a shortage.
