Licensed Subsidized Daycares in Enderby, BC

Subsidized Daycares in Enderby

Five licensed providers is the whole of Enderby's child care market, which makes it one of the smallest MapleCub covers in British Columbia, and yet three of those five have collected enough Google reviews to say something meaningful about, a rate of feedback that towns ten times this size in BC often can't match. Four are centres. One is a family day home. Between them they hold every licensed space in town, so the shortlist you're working from is complete before you start.

What to know about childcare in Enderby

Start with what the reviews show. STEM Early Learning Centre holds a 5.0 across nine reviews and Splats' In Child Care Center is close behind at 4.8, also from nine. Enderby Preschool, Daycare And Kids Club sits at 3.7 from three, and Thrive Out Of School Care has none at all. Nine reviews is still thin.

But it's thin in a useful way, because nine separate families landing near the same score tells you more than one delighted parent ever could, and the distance between a 4.8 and a 3.7 is wide enough that it's worth raising directly when you tour. Ask about staff turnover. That's usually what's underneath a soft rating.

Age licensing is where our Enderby picture goes dark. Two listings show infant licensing and two show toddler, but three of the five carry no age band at all in the provincial records we ingest, and BC is the province where this gap runs deepest, with roughly 86 per cent of our BC listings missing that detail entirely. So we know two providers take babies. We don't know about the rest.

Two funding programmes matter here and their names get confused constantly. The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative lowers what a participating centre charges every family, while the Affordable Child Care Benefit is income-tested and you apply for it yourself through the province. They stack. Plenty of parents pay full freight for months before anyone tells them about the second one.

Vernon is about 33 km south with more than fifty listed providers, and Salmon Arm is nearer still at roughly 20 km. Both are realistic if you already drive that way for work.
