Subsidized Daycares in Kemptville

Three of Kemptville's eight licensed child care centres run in French, which is a high share for a town this size sitting outside eastern Ontario's main francophone corridor, and it's probably the most useful single fact to have before you start dialling. Centre Éducatif Coeur Des Jeunes Notre Dame and Centre Éducatif Rivière Rideau both serve North Grenville families in French. The other five operate in English.

What to know about childcare in Kemptville

Not one Kemptville provider carries a Google review in our data. Not one. Zero, across all eight. Parents are often surprised by that, but it's ordinary in smaller Ontario towns, and it means the reflex of sorting by star rating simply doesn't work here, so you're back to the older method of walking into the room, watching how the educators speak to children who are upset, and asking bluntly how many staff have left in the past two years.

The eight listings include Madison Montessori Academy alongside the K.A.F.R.C. South Branch Infant / Toddler Program, which at least announces its ages in its name. Beyond that, nothing. The records go quiet. Our Ontario files carry no age licensing for any Kemptville listing, and since roughly 82 per cent of Ontario entries share that gap, the silence is about the source data rather than about this town.

Kanata is about 54 km north and Nepean not much further, so Ottawa commuting is genuinely realistic from here and plenty of North Grenville families already do it. Doing it for daycare is a different calculation. A spot near your office only helps if your partner isn't collecting the child from the opposite direction at 5pm. Ontario's CWELCC enrolment covers licensed sites province-wide, and the income-tested fee subsidy runs through the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville.
