Daycare & Childcare in Osoyoos

Osoyoos Child Care Centre is the only provider in town with age groups recorded in our data, and it covers all four bands from infant through school age. The other four are blank. That is typical for British Columbia, where about 86 percent of the providers we hold carry no age data at all, so a blank should be read as unknown rather than as a no. It is a gap. Read the other four that way, because a filtered search will quietly drop them and leave you looking at one option in a town that has five.

What to know about childcare in Osoyoos

Three of the five are centres and two are licensed family providers, Di's Daycare and Tammy's Childcare, with Dharma Kids Centre and Osoyoos Elementary School Seamless Day making up the rest of the centre side. That is the whole list. Seamless Day is a specific British Columbia programme that puts before and after school care inside the school building itself, run by the school district, so it is an option for school-age children and not for anyone younger.

None of the five has a rating. Fee reduction comes through the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative, which lowers the posted rate at participating providers, and the Affordable Child Care Benefit reduces it further according to household income, while licensing in the South Okanagan is handled by Interior Health rather than by the province or by the town itself. Interior Health publishes inspection reports for every licensed facility. Read them first. For a town of 5,000 with five options and no reviews at all, an inspection history is the most useful independent information you will find.
