Licensed Daycares in Petawawa, ON

Daycare & Childcare in Petawawa

The base shapes everything about child care in Petawawa. CFB Petawawa is the town's largest employer, and one of the eight licensed providers MapleCub lists is the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre Private Home Day Care, which arranges licensed care in private homes for military families. That has a practical consequence most towns never deal with, because posting cycles move whole households in and out on a calendar set somewhere else entirely, so a waitlist here can loosen or tighten for reasons that have nothing at all to do with how many babies were born in Renfrew County last year. Seven of the eight listings are centres. The MFRC programme is the only home-based option we have on file.

What to know about childcare in Petawawa

Two Petawawa providers have collected enough reviews to be worth reading at all. Kinder Connection Nursery School holds a 5.0 across five, and Kiddie Kollege Nursery School on the south side sits at 3.9 from seven. Both samples are tiny. One frustrated family can shift a seven-review average by several tenths, so treat these as prompts for questions rather than as a verdict on either programme, and remember that a nursery school schedule is not the same thing as full-day care if you work a standard week.

The town average across those two works out to 4.45. Ontario's is 4.46. Reading anything into that would be a mistake, because two providers is not a town.

Age licensing is missing for every Petawawa listing in the Ontario records we ingest, as it is for about 82 per cent of the province. Lil' Troopers Day Care South and the rest may well take infants. We can't confirm it from the data, so any age claim you see online is something to verify on the phone rather than something to plan around.

Renfrew County administers the income-tested fee subsidy locally, while CWELCC enrolment is what sets the base fee for children under six at participating sites. Ottawa's western suburbs sit around 120 km away, which rules out a daily daycare commute for nearly everyone. These eight are the field.
