Preschool in Saint Augustin De Desmaures

Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures has ten licensed centres in MapleCub's file. Nine of them have never been reviewed on Google in numbers large enough to publish a score, which leaves exactly one rating for the whole municipality. That one belongs to Garderie l'Oasis Enfantin on route 138, at 4.0 across eight reviews. It is not a verdict on the town. Eight of the ten hold subsidized places, a shade above the Québec-wide 74 percent, and nine are licensed for poupons under a year. On infant coverage this is one of the better small municipalities in the province.

What to know about childcare in Saint Augustin De Desmaures

The centres split between two recognisable types. Two are installations of larger centres de la petite enfance: Couri-Courette on rue du Charron and les Grenouilles at its installation du Boisée on rue Clément-Lockquell, both of which belong to networks with sites elsewhere in the Québec City area, which means their waiting lists are managed centrally and registering at one address can put you in the queue for others. The rest are standalone. École des Chérubins on rue de l'Hêtrière is the largest of those by licence.

Infant capacity is the strong point. Nine of the ten are approved for poupons, and all ten cover toddlers and preschoolers, which is a better ratio than most towns of this size manage. Families here are competing for a place, not for an age group.

Only four listings carry a website. All ten carry a phone number, and in a municipality where nine centres have no published rating, the phone is the tool that matters. Ask about the ratio in the poupon room, ask when the last ministry inspection was, and ask how the waiting list is ordered, because CPE networks and independent garderies handle that differently.

Saint-Augustin sits on the western edge of the Québec City agglomeration, close enough that a place in Cap-Rouge or Sainte-Foy is a realistic commute rather than a consolation. Widen the search if ten isn't enough. It usually isn't.
