Garderie les Petits Anges on rue Paiement carries 37 Google reviews at a 4.8 average, and since only about half the Quebec listings in our data clear three reviews at all, 37 puts it in a different category of evidence from everything else in the neighbourhood. It's by far the best-documented centre here. The rest is thinner. Garderie Éducative des Petits Amis shows 4.0 from ten reviews. The other three show no rating. That's the whole picture. Three of the five sit on boulevard Gouin Ouest and two of those three share the same building number, 16115, where CPE Luminou lists a second installation in bureau 300. Five listings, four operators, three streets.
Centre de la Petite Enfance Luminou accounts for two of the five listings, both at 16115 boulevard Gouin Ouest with the second in bureau 300, holding 126 places between them, while Garderie Rafiki is elsewhere on the same road at 15734 with 48 and Garderie Éducative des Petits Amis is on rue de la Caserne at 80, the largest single listing of the five. Total licensed capacity is 305. Petits Anges holds the other 51.
Infant coverage is the gap. Three of the five are licensed for the 0 to 12 month band, namely Petits Anges, Luminou's first installation and Rafiki, while des Petits Amis and Luminou's second installation both start at one year, and against a provincial figure of 81% that 60% is a real narrowing rather than a rounding difference. It also means the two centres with published hours are not both options for a baby.
Reduced-contribution places are available at three of the five, both Luminou installations and des Petits Amis. Les Petits Anges and Rafiki charge their own rates, with Quebec's refundable tax credit for childcare expenses applying afterward, and that matters here because the best-reviewed centre in Sainte-Geneviève is one of the two without subsidized places. Budget for it.
Petits Anges and des Petits Amis both open at 6:30 in the morning and close at 6. The other three haven't published hours. Sainte-Geneviève is part of Montreal's West Island, so Pierrefonds, Dollard-des-Ormeaux and L'Île-Bizard are realistic alternatives within a short drive, and subsidized places go through the Portail d'inscription aux services de garde wherever on the island you end up looking.
Verify Licensing
Confirm the centre holds a current provincial licence. A licence means the province checked baseline health, safety and staffing standards. It is a floor, not a ranking.
Read Parent Reviews
Reviews cover what an inspection report never will: what drop-off feels like, whether messages get answered, how long staff stay.
Ask About Curriculum
Ask what a Tuesday actually looks like. "Montessori" and "play-based" mean different things at different centres, so the daily schedule tells you more than the label does.
Consider Schedule Fit
Check the posted open and close times against your commute, not just your workday. Then ask what happens when you're late.

What should I look for when choosing a daycare in Sainte Genevieve?
Check for an active provincial licence, staff-to-child ratios, program approach (play-based, Montessori, francophone), age-group coverage, CPE / garderie subventionnée participation, and parent reviews. MapleCub lets you filter Sainte Genevieve daycares by all of these.
Which daycares in Sainte Genevieve have the strongest Google ratings?
Among Sainte Genevieve centres with enough reviews to judge, Garderie Rafiki holds 4.9★ (30 reviews), Centre de la Petite Enfance Luminou - Installation 1 holds 4.9★ (20 reviews), and Centre de la Petite Enfance Luminou - Installation 2 holds 4.9★ (20 reviews). A small number of reviews is weak evidence: treat a handful of 5-star ratings as a starting point, not proof of quality.
