Licensed Infant Care in Salaberry De Valleyfield, QC

Infant Care in Salaberry De Valleyfield

At 3.84 stars, the rated installations in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield sit further below the Quebec average of 4.52 than anywhere else in this batch. Nine of the city's 15 licensed installations carry enough Google reviews to show a rating, which is a sample large enough to take seriously rather than dismiss as noise from one or two unhappy parents. All 15 are centres.

What to know about childcare in Salaberry De Valleyfield

Read that average carefully. It hides a split rather than describing a middle. Two installations show five stars but each rests on only three reviews, which is the weakest kind of evidence there is, while Garderie Préscolaire des Petits Pieds sits at 3.9 across twelve and is both the sturdier number and the more representative one.

What the spread suggests is variation between installations rather than a uniformly weak town, and that makes visiting far more consequential here than in a place where every provider clusters near 4.6 and the choice barely matters. Two installations rate 4.5 or above. Six have nothing.

Age licensing in Quebec is complete, so the coverage figures hold up. All 15 take toddlers and preschoolers and 13 are licensed for poupons under eighteen months. Thirteen of the fifteen also offer reduced-contribution places at $9.65 a day, rising to $10.60 in January 2027, which sits well above the provincial participation rate of 74% and means most families here pay the regulated daily rate rather than a market one. On cost, Valleyfield does better than most of Quebec.

Montréal is an hour east with 658 installations. For daily drop-off that is a stretch, so the practical search area really is the fifteen listed here plus whatever the surrounding MRC turns up.
