Subsidized Daycares in Tecumseh

Windsor is ten minutes west. That shapes almost every child care decision made in Tecumseh, because the real catchment runs well past the municipal boundary and most families here weigh local centres against Windsor and Lakeshore options in the same round of phone calls. Eight licensed centres are listed in the town, and no dayhomes at all. Three of them carry enough reviews to average, at 3.93, below the 4.46 MapleCub sees across rated Ontario listings. Three ratings is not a sample.

What to know about childcare in Tecumseh

First Steps Child Care Centre runs two of the eight listings, at Beacon Heights and in Tecumseh proper, and both show the same 3.4 rating across the same nine reviews, which usually means Google has matched one business profile to two addresses. Read that number as covering the operator, not either site individually.

Two of the eight are Montessori. Lakeview Montessori School and the Brightpath Montessori on the Lakeshore side give Tecumseh a higher share of Montessori programmes than most Essex County towns. Playful Steps Daycare Centre holds the best rating in town at 5.0, though only eight people have left one.

One listing, Franco-Sol's Sainte-Marguerite-d'Youville site, operates in French. Latchkey Day Care runs two more at St. André and St. Pius. Age licensing is blank across all eight Tecumseh records, so this page cannot tell you who takes infants, and the Ministry of Education licence itself is the document to ask for.
