Daycare & Childcare in Blainville

Blainville, one of the Lower Laurentians' fastest-growing family suburbs, offers 32 licensed childcare centres in MapleCub's dataset, with the complete age documentation Quebec listings are known for. All 32 serve toddlers and preschoolers, and 29 take infants under 18 months, among the best baby-room coverage ratios we track; school-age care runs through the schools, per Quebec's 0-to-5 model. The ratings picture calls for a discerning eye: the 25 centres with at least 3 Google reviews average 4.45, slightly below the Quebec-wide 4.52, though 12 centres score 4.5 or higher, so the strong options are there: they just share the market with middling ones. Garderie Trésors d'Enfance and Centre de la Petite Enfance les Croquignoles lead, each holding a perfect 5.0 across 15 reviews, with Les Croquignoles operating more than one installation locally. On cost, 22 of 32 centres offer subsidized reduced-contribution spots at Quebec's fixed daily rate; the other 10 are full-fee garderies where the refundable tax credit narrows the difference. In a suburb full of young families, registering early on the Portail d'inscription aux services de garde is the single highest-leverage move.

What to know about childcare in Blainville

Blainville's market splits 22 subsidized to 10 full-fee, and understanding that split saves you money either way. The reduced-contribution centres (including CPE les Croquignoles' installations) charge the province's set daily rate no matter your income, and fill via the Portail d'inscription aux services de garde, Quebec's central registry. The 10 full-fee garderies price freely, but Quebec's refundable childcare tax credit, claimable in advance instalments, can bring their net cost close to the subsidized rate for many households. Families who run both calculations often find the private route costs less than feared, and its waitlists are shorter.

Read the ratings here with both hands. The 4.45 reviewed average sits a touch under the provincial 4.52, but the leaders are well-evidenced: Garderie Trésors d'Enfance's 5.0 across 15 reviews and CPE les Croquignoles' matching 5.0 across 15 (plus a second, smaller-sample installation also at 5.0) are records built over time, not marketing. Below the top, quality varies more than in some markets, so tour with specific questions: educator turnover in the past year, daily outdoor time, and how transitions between rooms are handled. All 32 centres are licensed and inspected by the Ministère de la Famille, whose compliance records are public.

Infant coverage is Blainville's structural advantage: 29 of 32 centres are licensed for under-18-months, a ratio most Montreal-area suburbs can't match. That doesn't make subsidized baby spots easy to land: pouponnière places remain the market's scarcest, and in a suburb this young, demand is relentless. Register on the Portail as soon as your child is born, list generously, and treat a full-fee garderie spot as a workable bridge while CPE waitlists move.

One commuting note: many Blainville parents work in Laval or Montreal, and a centre near your Highway 15 or commuter-train access point may serve you better than the one closest to home. Pickup deadlines are unforgiving when traffic on the 15 isn't.
